Preparing for Welding

Tack welding is finished. Everything is in place, I hope.

Now we prepare for real welding by placing the strongbacks on the transversal seams.

We also spend some time looking for instrument needed to obtain a nice finish, like this one from 3M for going around pipes

  2. Welding is a complicated job. If you fail to correctly weld a part of the surface or joist, everything will be messed up. So, you have to be careful when welding and connecting the joists. You need to have accuracy and a reliable welding tool if you want a perfect finish on the welded area.
